We Work With the Whole Community
Most Valuable Friend was built to serve more than just individual families. We work closely with the wider community because we know that helping a child build friendships takes a village.
Whether you are a parent looking for social connection for your child, a therapist wanting to refer a family, or a school seeking to support students with social differences, MVF is here to help.
Our service is completely free for families and we are always open to partnerships that help us reach more children in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Every group we work with plays an important role in helping children build the connections they deserve.

We primarily serve families and parents of children who experience challenges with communication, social interaction, or related differences. This includes children with autism, ADHD, speech and language differences, developmental delays, and other neurodivergent experiences.
Many families come to us because they want their child to have genuine social connections but are not sure where to start or who to trust. We offer a safe, free, and personal pathway to building those friendships.
Our service is completely free for families and we work at a pace that feels right for your child and your family. Parents are involved and informed at every step.

Schools and educators play a vital role in identifying children who may benefit from additional social connection outside of the classroom. We welcome referrals from teachers, school counselors, and special education professionals across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
If you work with a student who struggles to form friendships due to communication or social differences, we would love to connect with you. We make the referral process simple and follow up personally with every family you send our way.
We are also open to exploring partnership opportunities with schools and districts who want to bring our approach directly into their community.

Speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other clinical professionals often work with children who would benefit greatly from real-world social connection. MVF can serve as a natural complement to therapeutic work by providing a safe space for those skills to develop through genuine friendship.
We also welcome partnerships with community organizations, advocacy groups, and other nonprofits whose work overlaps with our mission. Many of our early connections have come through referrals from trusted partners in the DFW community.

We focus on children and young people, generally ages 5 and up, who experience challenges with communication, social interaction, or related differences. But at the heart of it, we serve any child who wants to connect and simply needs the right support to make it happen.

Most Valuable Friend is currently a local initiative serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We are building a strong community of families, schools, and partners in DFW before expanding further.
